Add to Harbor Series layout. Captions: #40: Shows extensive work being done on extension Pier A, Long Beach, which sticks out like a probing finger into the water at Long Beach. #41: Shows ships tied up at Pier A, Long Beach. #43: Shows long row of ships tied up at Pier A, Berth 9 and 10. #44: Shows Navy landing at Long Beach which will [be] moved shortly because of subsidence. #45: Shows Eloi Amar, general manager of Long Beach Harbor Department and guiding genius who planned and built the port that oil made possible.
