Description	5 images. Arrival of USS Guadalupe from Korea, 11 May 1952. Chief Bosun J. V. Kilgore, 3425 Tulane Avenue, Long Beach; Jerry Kilgore, 8; Jani Kilgore, 6; Mrs. Jane (J. V.) Kilgore; Mrs. C. W. Rickets, San Diego; Charles W. Ricketts, Junior, Second Lieutenant, Bosun Third Class.; Supplementary material reads: "Five shots show best Mother's Day Gift. Two [negatives] show Mrs. C.W. Ricketts of San Diego waving at USS Guadalupe, Navy tanker, which holds a Mother's Day gift worth more than all of the money in the world, her son Charles W. Ricketts, Junior, 21, Bosun Third Class. Two [negatives] show Mrs. Ricketts embracing her son. One [negative] shows Mrs. Ricketts caressing her son's cheek as she gazes into his eyes".; Supplementary material reads: "Two negatives show Chief Bosun J.V. Kilgore, of 3425 Tulane Avenue, Long Beach, displaying his eight-inch long moustache he grew since last November. On the one end, the left, is his son, Jerry, 8, and on the other, his daughter, Jani, 6. Mrs. Jane Kilgore, his wife is in background. Kilgore won battle against Navy to keep moustache but lost decision to his wife. 'First thing he does when he gets home is to shave [his] moustache', she said".
