Description	2 images. Wedding party lands in jail after brawl at reception, 5 May 1952. Mrs. Raymond Rodriguez Herrera, bride, carried out of Police Station; Raymond Rodriguez herrera, groom, booked; Gregory Joseph Gonzalez, booked.; Supplementary material reads: "Wedding party leads to cell. Hollenbeck Police Station last night was brightened by a lovely bride and a throng of wedding guests. The bride and the wedding guests were trying to get the bridegroom out of jail. The eyes of the young lady who just a short while before had become Mrs. Raymond Rodriguez Herrera alternated between tears and flashes of anger as she argued the matter with adamant policemen. In spite of all she and the assorted wedding guests could do, the officers booked Raymond, 18, and his friend, Gregory Joseph Gonzalez, 25, both of 148 South Sunol Drive, East Los Angeles, on suspicion of interfering with an officer".; Supplementary material continues: "What happened! Standout items, according to police, in a confusion of details as to what happened were -- Gregory and his girl friend got into a battle over something or other. Raymond, who naturally wanted everything peaceful and pleasant at his wedding party at 1954 East First Street, tried to act as a peacemaker. Someone called police, who broke up what they called a general scuffle. They took Gregory and Raymond to the station and wedding party trailed along. There the bride finally collapsed in a faint. She was carried out by one of the men in the party, while the rest of the wedding guests engaged in a near riot, trying to prevent news photographers from taking a picture of her".
