PENTECOST AT SUNDERLAND.
1—The Testimony of a Vicar's Wife.
IT is only with a sincere desire to glorify God
and help other hungry hearts to know Jesus
in all His fulness that I send forth this testimony
to the wonderful love and patience of a faithful
and all-wise God with one of the least of His
children.
For the encouragement of godly parents, who
desire the salvation of their children, I desire to
thank God for parents who, from my earliest
childhood, taught me to love the Saviour, to'
believe in the Word of God and in the power of
prayer. God has answered their prayers, and,
possibly, they are now rejoicing with the angels
in Heaven that at last their children are "baptized
into the Body" and "one spirit" with the Christ
—Glory be to God !
I need not say more of early days than to
mention that, up to the time of my marriage, I
was given to "good works," and, as a Clergyman's
daughter, had every opportunity for practising
