| Abstract | Despite the passage of Proposition 227, many school districts in California have instituted bilingual programs within their districts. The goal of this study was to examine the bilingual education financial model of an elementary school in a unified school district in southern California and to report the opinions of the administration and teachers of the program at the school site.; Funding for this two-way immersion program was received from a Title VII grant received from 2001 to 2005 to pay for the curriculum, bilingual library, and extra technology resources. Opinions of the two-way immersion program at Huntington Elementary School remain positive among the administrator and teachers despite the dismantling of many programs across the country and almost a decade of negative press. |
