| Abstract | Due to the rising rate of HIV/AIDS in the Black populace, there have been numerous studies about the viruses and the consequences of these diseases that encroach upon these communities. With this array of information, the challenge then becomes how to utilize the available data and wend out a successful community support program that addresses the needs of Black women. In response to the overwhelming evidence proving that HIV/AIDS is a major threat to the health of Black women, there has been a concerted effort to bring awareness to this demographic sector about high risk behaviors that make these women vulnerable to the viruses. Therefore, the intention of this study is to propose a protocol for the development and implementation of a community support program that brings awareness to Black women about the rising rate of HIV/AIDS within their demographic sector. |
