| Abstract | The purpose of this study is to review and follow up on a community, school, and university partnership that is in its third year of operation. A dissertation group at a top-tiered research university studied the partnership for the attributes that emerged during its first year of operation. This study is a follow-up to examine whether the attributes of the partnership are effective in transforming the high school for which the partnership has assumed oversight under one of the District’s reform plans. The study is examining whether the community, school, and university partnership, that includes businesses, can work on behalf of urban schools to create pathways to meaningful post-secondary employment consistent with 21st century employment opportunities |
