| Abstract | This thesis explores the current challenges and future opportunities for improving the internal communication practices of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The author explores the organization's structure and how the DNC imparts effective communication to its stakeholders. Research methodologies included primary source interviews with internal and external sources and multiple secondary sources in the areas of practical and theoretical application.; The main conclusion of this thesis is that by moving quickly to improve its internal communications system, the DNC will become efficient and transparent, ultimately having a positive impact toward achieving the party's mission and organizational goals. The DNC should address its current communications challenges by implementing a more bidirectional communications strategy with its internal audiences, to achieve the organization's goals by uniting, motivating and organizing internal actors. With this call-to-action, the author proposes a detailed public relations strategy to improve the internal communications within the organization. |
