Abstract	Adele and Bernie Green grew up in the same small town of Zamosc, Poland. But before the two could meet, World War II broke out, tearing both their families apart. After surviving the Holocaust, one of the worst atrocities in global history, Adele and Bernie were offered the opportunity to start a new life with one another upon immigrating to the United States.
