I enjoyed your talk on Korea November 8th and am greatly
interested in the countiy as to the possibilities of trade in our
line of saws, tools and files, etc.
As you know, in the past all our connections with Korea
were through Japanese firms, therefore, we never really knew the
real value of the country. One of our men has traveled in Korea in
company with a Japanese calling on the sawmill operators.
We are now interested in the Country to the extent of
looking for a good live company that can sell our saws, files, tools,
steel and etc. to the hardware importers, industrial firms and sawmills
or a suitable firm that would h4 in a position to stock the material
and distribute the goods to the trades. We would enter into a contract
for the handling of the line for the entire countiy' of Korea and to
arrange a commission on all shipments we made to Korea. *he commission
would be an extra discount beyond our extreme export prices.
We are giving you this background so that you will be in a
position to suggest some suitable firm who, by the way, did not have
and who would not offer for sale a competitive line.
We would like to welcome you to our factory at any time you
happen to be in Philadelphia or we could arrange a meeting in Hew York
to talk over this matter.
