Mr. Ihlan
Boulder, Colorado
Dear Mr. Neu*
<°i*y
Ed Drach was away on a short vacation* I just now have Mr. Young1 s initials and title - F. H. Young, V.?*, Abbott Laboratories, North Chicago,
Illinois*
In requesting this information from Mr* Drach, I mentioned the reason
why and told him how interesting and definitely instructive the Korea
Economic Digest was* He asked me, n8an you get Mr. Jfew to send me copies
of these as they come out. You can tell him I am the Director of Purchases
and while not a V.P. I sit on the Board.■ I think it would be vdse to
send Mr. Drach copies of these and mail them to his home address: 909 Ra-
mona Road, Wilmette, Illinois. He is a bear-cat for information and does
not like to have anybody on the Board spring anything that he is not himself familiar with.
I was greatly interested in Sam Fung's article. He shows he is making
good use of his education and either had or has obtained a well rounded
knowledge of what has been done in Korea and what the country is capable
of doing.
I also liked your introductory remarks. They were sanely and logically
set down and in being factual you presented difficulties and opportunities with equal emphasis* This last is unusual in any propaganda work
and should establish confidence.
I just this afternoon received the #2 issue and have not had time to read
it, but do note there is a subscription card enclosed. Because my request that you send these issues to Mr. Drach has a selfish angle and
also because this work deserves support, I attach my check to cover
Mr. Drach1s and my subscriptions as I certainly want to continue to receive these reports and think it a good gesture that we mark Mr* Drach1s
T1 complimentary**
Yours,
RCJ.RT
