A Proposal
by the Hyun Family
to the Republic of Korea
The government of the Republic of Korea has indicated to the Hyun family that it wishes to
honor the deceased Rev. Soon Hyun and his deceased wife Maria Hyun with memorial services
and reburial in a national cemetery in Korea to
honor their lifelong contributions to the Korean
people in their struggle for Korean Independence.
The Hyun family, represented by the surviving
children of the late Soon and Maria Hyun is also
desirous that their father and mother be recognized for their contributions to and sacrifices
for the Korean people and having discussed and
confirmed various details of the proposed re-
burial program with Mr. Hong Kyu Rim, Consul
Republic of Korea in Los Angeles, respectfully
submits for approval by the Republic of Korea
this agreement for the reburial of Rev. Soon Hyun
and Maria Hyun.
The Republic of Korea has requested the reburial
of Soon and Maria Hyun and has invited two members of the family to Korea to participate and
to observe the honorary proceedings.  The Hyun
family accepts this invitation subject to the
following conditions:
The Republic of Korea guarantees unconditionally
and without exception of any kind to observe and
to provide the following:
