Signs bearing slogans such as “End your silence” and "Protest the War in Vietnam" appeared on campus in front of Student Union yesterday.
Stuart Heller, a member of national Students for a Democratic Society, the group which sponsored the event said. “USC needs help. There is very little interest here among students. There is no one to do the work.” Heller attended UCLA and majored in theater. He does not attend USC.

registration table for upcoming elections loses the attention battle as SDS solicits nonsupport for the Vietnam war and U.S. Marines display their equipment.
Appearing several feet from the SDS display was a Marine Corps exhibit. Capt. .Roy C. Petersen, a veteran of Vietnam, only said, that they had a right to make their display.
Ironically, on the other side of the stand containing anti-Vietnam literature and advice on “How to be a Conscientious Objector,” was a voting registration table and a stand selling tickets to see ‘Dr. Zhivago.’
During the afternoon approximately 40 people gathered to see an argument between a refugee of Yugoslavia, Nick Mohacsy, and Jack Greenblatt, a graduate student in chemistry.
Greenblatt favored withdrawal from Vietnam, while Mohacsy opposed it.
