By BLAKE HENNON Staff Writer Most children do not suffer neg ative long-term effects caused by their parents' divorce, a new study by a USC sociologist says. Instead, most support their parents’ decision and mature into strong, secure adults. USC sociologist Constance Ahrons conducted a 20 year study that involved interviews with 173 so called "(ieneration X” children of divorce. Although there are varied responses among the group, the majority experienced no long-term negative consequences.
