DPS investigates report of gun at AEPi fraternity
DPS officers have not located suspect after conflicting witness reports.

DPS and Los Angeles Mice Department responded to a call of a man with a gun at 11 45 p.m Thursday at the AEPi house after DPS originally reported the claim as an unfounded prank No suspect was found or detained, DPS officials said
Witnesses said fraternity members asked the suspect to leave after a verbal confrontation
“The informant reported that he was calling from Alpha Epsi-

William French Anderson to serve time far 2006 conviction of molesting a 10-year-old.

Former USC professor and world-renowned geneticist William French Anderson, 70, was sentenced Friday to 14 years in prison and ordered to pay $68,000 in fines for molesting the daughter of one of his Keck School of Medicine colleagues.
The abuse caused the victim, who was 10 years* old when it started, to start cutting her arms and contemplate suicide, according to court documents.
Behind Anderson's July 2()()(i conviction was an overwhelming display of evidence, including a taped conversation f)('tween Anderson and the victim in which he apologized for “(doing) a horrible thing,” according to court documents.
"I will love you forever,” Anderson, who is married, told the victim in the same conversation.
In an e-mail to the victim before the allegations became public, Anderson wrote, “If I saw you and your family destroyed and my whole career down the tubes.... For me, a powerful 9mm bullet through the head would be the way to go. ... I have already bought the ammunition.”
In court filings, prosecutors said Anderson was initially the victim’s tae kwon do mentor while she was a fifth-grader.
