In an effort to shorten long lines and provide additional conveniences to USC students, faculty and staff, USCard Services con- ’ structed a new Web site, making it possible to do certain things online that used to require a visit to its offices.
The Web site enables USCard holders to immediately deactivate
a lost-or stolen card and gives them the opportunity to check the card’s discretionary balance and recent activities.
USCsrd created the Web site because it realized making services available weekdays from only 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. is not enough.
"We felt like we were underservicing the customer," said Brenda DeLong, director of USCard. "It's limiting for us to offer services only during business
hours; hsving studenls come phys ically to the office can be especial ly difficult for busy students.”
Now, if a USCsrd holder loses • his csrd, the holder no longer has to wait until the following business dsy to desctivate the card. Some students feel more at ease, knowing that they can keep their card from being used without their discretion.
