Celebrating the university’s present, honoring its past
Homecoming 1981 promises to be an outstanding celebration of the university's lOl-year heritage. Changes in the organization of the semester system, the appointment of several key administrators, and a S365-million annual budget have already indicated to students and alumni that the university has a right to be proud.
This year’s homecoming will honor Traveller III, “the greatest college mascot." and his owner Richard Saukko. Traveller 111 symbolizes the Trojan spirit — a certain dedication and pride which is evident in the university's quest for excellence in every endeavor whether it be academics, athletics or the arts.
