Description	Photograph of Charlotta Bass, third from right, and some of the guests who attended the California Eagle's seventieth birthday celebration. Attorney Vince Monroe Townsend, Jr. stands on the left; Dr. Foster, a Los Angeles physician, is second from the left; Rev. J. Raymond Henderson, pastor of the Second Baptist Church, is third from the left. Rev. Clayton Russell, of the People's Independent Church of Christ, is second from the right; Mabel V. Gray is on the right. Gray was a member and leader of many African-American women's clubs, and served as president of the California State Association of Colored Women and president of the Southwest Region of National Association of Colored Women.
