Photograph of Albert C. Baumann which was published in the California Eagle. The back of the photograph contains this handwritten notation: "Albert C. Baumann, pharmacist, civic leader." The 1930-1931 edition of "Los Angeles Negro Directory and Who's Who" states that Baumann "has been especially active in all matters of civic welfare. Was chairman of YMCA Building Committee; chairman board of management, YMCA: president, Urban League; vice-president Liberty Building Loan Association; chairman, building committee, Elks; treasurer, NAACP:' treasurer, St. Philips Episcopal Building Committee, and in 1927 and 1928 was head of Community Chest drive on Eastside."
