| Description (English with transliteration) | Pulemet [Machine-Gun], no.1, [1905]. Published and edited by N.G. Shebuev. St. Petersburg. Typography: "Trud." Text by: N. Shebueva. Illustrations by: I. Grabovskogo. Satirical journal. A facsimile of this issue also came out in a smaller format - the so called "Finland Pulemet." This first issue was confiscated, and N.G. Shebuev was convicted and sentenced to one year in prison -- Rudzinskii, no. 89; BPIR, no. 6598. |

| Description (English with transliteration) | The black and red illustration on the cover with the title caption "Doloi!" (Down With...!) by I.M. Grabovskii presents a male speaker with a fierce face (the editor Nikolai Shebuev calls him a student - see “Istoriia moego ‘Pulemeta’”). The background shows a podium with a flagon and a glass, and in the upper right corner is a burning lamp. The speaker wears a Russian shirt, a blouse and a cap. A stamp in the lower left margin says "Art Historical Library of D.I. Kotel'nikov Dikobraz."; The realistic style of the cover picture stands out from the general artistic style of the journal. Note that a realistic style characterizes most of the covers of Pulemet (Machine-gun). Note also that the journal's name is spelled out as a cartridge belt. |

На заднем плане изображен стол с графином и стаканом и горящая лампа. Оратор одет в рубаху-косоворотку, мундир и фуражку. Слева внизу находится печать "Художественно-исторический кабинет Д.И. Котельникова ДИКОБРАЗ".; Реалистический стиль иллюстрации, помещенной на обложке, выбивается из общего художественного стиля журнала. Большинство обложек журнала "Пулемет" объединены реалистичной стилистикой. Заголовок журнала в соответствии с названием изображен в виде пулеметной ленты. |
